Boat Cleaning Associate

As the face of Bay Harbor and the Nautical Center of the Great Lakes, you will help ensure our boating guests have a safe, friendly and enjoyable stay in our marina.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Provide each guest/owner with exceptional concierge service
  • Exterior power washing
  • Interior vacuuming and carpet spot cleaning
  • Upholstery and window cleaning

Dock Hands: Bay Harbor Lake Marina & Bay Harbor Yacht Docks

This is a seasonal position from approximately May 15, 2017 through October 15, 2017. Dock hands will be customer service oriented, professional and friendly, outgoing and energetic, have attention to detail, be hard-working and have the ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and be available to work weekends and holidays. Boating experience is recommended but not required; guest service experience is also a plus. Ideal candidates would also be 16 years or older with a valid driver’s license.

Front Desk Agent

Front Desk Agents are an integral part the hospitality industry. The front desk is the first impression guests will experience about our property, our Front Desk Agents are therefore, the ambassadors of Bay Harbor.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide a safe and secure environment for guests and owners
  • Take room reservations
  • Check guests and owners in and out
  • Interact with unit owners and guests
  • Exhibit proper etiquette on the phone and in person

Front Desk House Associate

The Front Desk House Associate is an integral part of the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate must provide each guest with a positive experience and represent our hotel as the ambassador of Bay Harbor.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Demonstrate impeccable integrity and use proper etiquette at all times
  • Promptly respond to owner and guest requests
  • Provide a safe and secure environment for guests and owners
  • Must be flexible to changes in work schedules

Housekeeping

Primary job duties include ensuring guest rooms are clean, orderly and fully stocked. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, be meticulous and efficient; exhibit impeccable integrity, be self-motivated, and flexible to changes in work schedule.

General Maintenance

Maintenance Associates will be customer service oriented, professional and friendly, have great attention to detail, be hard-working, knowledgeable of building and property general maintenance and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Arrange furniture and equipment for the purpose of providing adequate preparations for special events
  • Clean district buildings and grounds areas as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of providing effective working environment, preventing damage and/or limiting liability exposure
  • Prepare written material for the purpose of documenting activities
  • Transport a variety of tools, equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at the job site

Retail Sales Associate

Retail Sales Associates in the Bay Harbor Logo store are responsible for generating sales and maximizing revenue. This position requires standing, bending, reaching and kneeling. Candidates must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. and be available to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Interact with customers, give product presentations, and promote purchases
  • Maintain proper display of goods in the store, ensure quality standards
  • Complete all assigned tasks, keeping store clean and organized
  • Keep track of stock and inventory
  • Strategize to meet assigned sales targets

Swim and Fitness Club Attendant

The Swim and Fitness Club includes a seasonal outdoor competition length swimming pool, outdoor hot tub, cabanas, fitness center, and associated facilities. Associates are responsible for ensuring the safety and satisfaction of members and guests.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide each guest/owner with exceptional service
  • Register guests in and out
  • Stocking supply of clean towels and pool furniture
  • Ensure the safety and cleanliness of pool area, fitness equipment, indoor and outdoor facilities

Swim and Fitness Club Supervisor

The Swim and Fitness Club includes a seasonal outdoor competition length swimming pool, outdoor hot tub, cabanas, fitness center, and associated facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for training, managing staff, and scheduling as well as ensuring the safety and satisfaction of members and guests.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide each guest/owner with exceptional service
  • Scheduling and training for staff attendants
  • Monitoring water quality and temperatures of the pool and hot tub
  • Register guests in and out
  • Collect applicable guest fees, complete and balance daily log
  • Stocking and ordering supply of clean towels
  • Ensure the safety and cleanliness of pool area, indoor and outdoor facilities
  • Check and maintain the proper operation of fitness equipment

Marketing/Real Estate Intern | Job Type: Internship – Summer

This paid internship is designed for a college student, undergrad, or individual seeking a career in real estate or marketing. The Marketing/Real Estate Intern is responsible for coordinating and executing the company’s social media strategy, working across key social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and LinkedIn.
A successful candidate must have professional etiquette in an office setting, through digital communications, and in person outside of the office at events. This internship includes event management, preparation and operation. They will work closely with key members of staff, valued clientele, and members of the community. At times, confidentiality is required.
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have 1+ year experience in event management/operation
  • Must have 1+ year experience in sales/marketing/ad design
  • Must be available to work occasional weekends and holidays throughout the summer (including Fourth of July)
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • An interest in marketing, communications, social media or reputation management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite Office, MailChimp, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google 
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high motivation to learn
  • A proactive, service-focused attitude towards clients and candidates and the teams you support internally
  • The ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Must abide by confidentiality agreements
  • An ability to remain calm under pressure and a robust/resilient attitude towards challenges
  • An ability to prioritize work and complete tasks with quick turnaround times and minimal fuss

  • Experience in photography or drones and/or photo editing is a plus

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team, demonstrating a strong work ethic
  • Proactive, service-focused attitude towards clients and team members
  • Ability to prioritize work and complete tasks with minimal direction
  • Must be available to work occasional weekends and holidays throughout the summer (including Fourth of July)
