The Balloons Over Bay Harbor team is proud to present and host the 5th Annual Balloons Over Bay Harbor, taking to the skies September 20 – 22, 2024. This is the most uplifting event of the fall season in northern Michigan, with thousands of spectators that come to witness the balloon launches and night glows, as well as a 3K Color Run fundraiser for Kali’s Cure, great music on Main Street, food trucks, an artisan market, tethered balloon rides (Saturday from 10am-4pm: $25/adult and $15/kids 13 and under. This is on a first come-first serve basis) and hot air balloon painting parties!
 
Since this is our 5th Anniversary, we want it to be bigger and better and are planning to expand the festivities for the weekend and continue to host some of the best pilots in the nation who compete in national festivals across the country. There will be  flight activity throughout the weekend and the amazing “night glows” taking place on the marina lawn scheduled for both Friday and Saturday evenings in our Downtown Village.
 
This year Balloons Over Bay Harbor will be supporting a local non-profit, Kiersten’s Ride, which brings help, hope and healing through suicide awareness and prevention programs in Northern Lower Michigan by donating proceeds from our event to their charitable cause.

Saturday, September 21, 2024:  10am – 5pm

Be a part of the most “uplifting” event of the fall season as a market vendor at Balloons Over Bay Harbor! There are booth spaces available that will be set up along Main Street in our Downtown Village. There will be family fun activities throughout the day to add to the family fun between launches and leading into the night glow in the evening.

Autumn Glory 3K Color Run & Walk FUNdraiser
Saturday, September 21, 2024:  10am 

The Autumn Glory 3K run/walk will be begin on Main Street in the Village at  and follow a route to the Observation Platform overlooking Little Traverse Bay, getting “colorful” all along the way! This is a fun way to bring together our community for a great cause. Proceeds from the Color Run & Walk will go to the Kali’s Cure,  Registration is $25/per person which guarantees a color run t-shirt if registered by September 12th.

Painting Party with Daniel Duncan
Saturday, September 21, 2024:  11am 

Enjoy step-by-step easy instruction as you paint beautiful and colorful hot air balloons along with Artist, Daniel Duncan owner of Duncan Studios in Boyne City, MI. He will walk step-by-step through the artistic process of creating your very own, beautiful work of art. (3) sessions are available: 11am , 2pm and 6:30pm during the Balloons Over Bay Harbor event. All supplies and aprons are included. Limited availability.

He will walk step-by-step through the artistic process of creating your very own, beautiful work of art. This is the “sip” and paint session. Grab a bottle of wine from SIP or Salavatore’s in the Village and bring it with you! All supplies and aprons are included. Limited availability.
